Accessibility
The puzzle is designed to remain understandable without relying on color, a mouse, or motion.
Color and symbols
Accessibility mode adds a distinct symbol and border style to every correct, present, and absent result. A seven-second guide explains the meaning when the mode is enabled.
Keyboard and focus
Every game action is available from a physical keyboard. Dialogs keep focus inside while open, Escape closes them, and focus returns to the control that opened them.
Motion and appearance
Gridling respects the system reduced-motion preference. Light mode, dark mode, high-contrast result colors, visible focus rings, and responsive type are available without changing game behavior.
Result explanations
After a game, the answer is announced and every guess is repeated with a text explanation for each letter, so results do not depend on tile color alone.
